"Composing music" simply means creating an original musical thought - anyone can learn to do it! In this camp, students will have agency in how they create music while being guided by teachers who help them organize and arrange their ideas into a final piece. Whether your child is a budding singer-songwriter, a digital music enthusiast, an instrumentalist, or they're brand new to composing, our teachers will customize the camp to meet their interests. Good for: Rising grades 3-8, any background — instrumental, vocal, digital, or total beginner (the camp welcomes all skill levels). Teachers help each kid shape an original piece, so it fits both first-timers and kids who've been noodling but never finished anything. Morning half-day, 9am-12pm; ends with a Thursday family presentation. Bring your instrument or DAW setup.
